Mencari driver untuk Unknown Devices
Setelah selesai memecahkan berbagai masalah tentang Notebook CQ40-116TU dan membagi hasilnya di blog ini ada beberapa pengunjung yang nanya soal driver buat xp untuk varian cq40, cq45. Aku nggak bisa jawab soalnya belum pernah pake notebook selain CQ40-116TU :(
Tapi saya cuma memberi tips untuk mengetahui detail dari hardware. Jika sudah diketahui merek, prodesen atau manufacturer dan versi dari hardware yang belum ketemu drivernya tinggal nyari di google. Tetapi jika belum tau (karena di device manager tidak menampilkan hardware info yang cukup lengkap) Anda bisa menggunakan sebuah tool untuk mengetahui detail dari unknown hardware. Naman dari tools tersebut adalah "Unknown Devices" ukurannya kecil kok, yang versi beta 1.4.20 (support vista) cuma 630KB dan yang versi 1.2 cuma 392KB.

By checking Device Manager for unknown devices and extracting information from it, this program attempts to figure out what the device is. You might not have to open your case or look up random numbers off of PCI cards to figure out what they are.
Program supports Win95, 98, 98se, Me, 2k, XP and 2003 but not NT. It also attempts to support future OSes.
It runs fine from a CD or floppy. It's free for personal and (especially) business use. The program contains no adware, spyware, malware, popups, or whatever is the latest name for junk software.

Mas andy, saya juga pake' CQ40-116TU tapi klo' saya colok Mouse-USB.. mousenya gak dikenali, sudah bberapa kali saya coba update driver & uninstal.. tp tetap jg gak dikenali... messagenya "Cannot Instal this hardware... there was a problem installation of the device... U+P mouse".... oh ya saya pake' Win-XP SP2, thanks sebelumnya

untuk interface lain yg pakai usb semuanya ok.. termasuk modem gsm juga gak ada problem, mouse lain sudah coba juga tp hasilnya samaa2 ... apa kira2 harus update driver MB?
